-The process of receiving information about and making sense of the world around us.

Perceptual Error.
Primary effect- error which we quickly form an opinion of people based on the first information we receive about them. An example is first impression counts for some people.

Having the first impression of people may not be the correct perception you have of them. It could probably be that that person so happen to behave like that when you first know him. Therefore, never make the first impression of people your exact perception of him/her. Improve empathy such as people yourself in that person's shoes. Before having perception of someone, seek maximum information from reliable sources so that you will not make perceptual errors.

Lastly, everyone is born with different character. Accept each other's character and you will have a happy and lasting relationship with them. =D
